Goodbye, Internet Explorer!January 14, 2016 4:39 pm
Internet Explorer is finally off to the Big Browser in the sky with the announcement that Microsoft will no longer support this outdated browser on most of its operating systems. Microsoft is making room for its new EDGE browser, having recently launched this on Windows 10. It’s a sad day (not least for Concept’s Jemma Crouch who is the only one here to still use this browser!) but hardly a surprise. If you do still continue to run IE (with the exception of 9 and 11), be aware that Microsoft will not be running any security patches and you could leave yourself open to hacks and cyber-attacks. Great news for web designers – who have struggled with IE inconsistencies against other browsers, bad news for businesses that run apps which only operate on IE.
